I wasn’t a fan of the wire wheels on my 36 3 Window, they were on it when I bought it. So I put some Artillery wheels on it and $200 back in the bank after selling the wires and caps. It also got the rear end lowered about 3/4” and the rear axle moved forward about 5/8”.
Your car was sexy with either shoes it’s wearing. I can’t say either way Nice ride If your happy Then your happy
I gotta say, it looks better to me, too. The wires were OK, but too dark IMHO. The lighter wheels contrast the dark body color better.
The black wires look serious the other wheels make the car look like it's meant to make ice cream runs and get groasherys.
With either wheels, the wheel color and center cap style make a huge different in how it looks. There were lots of things to change, besides wheel type. As long as you like it....
I think the new wheels/tires fit the car better and I was never a fan of black/dark paint with black wheels.........not even on new cars. It's better IMHO
I'm with Jim on this one, wrong color on the wires and those caps as nifty and expensive as they are belong only on fenderless rides. A different color on the wires and some simpler caps and maybe beauty rings would have made a world of difference even though I really like the new look.
The artillery wheels are much nicer. But your car my friend would look good even if it had no wheels and was sitting up on cinder blocks!
Ended up painting the wheels a darker grey that leans a little blue. Bigger rear tires and a touch of red in the Ford on the hubcaps
