I'd call that a GREAT day. It's hard to enjoy life, when you're fighting for it! Congats man. Tomorrow will probably the first "normal" day you've had in quite a while....ENJOY IT.

Congratulations, fellow HAMBer ! I don't know you but would like to meet you at the Lonestar Roundup in April each year. You deserve to attend the best car gathering Texas has to offer, in my opinion. It would be great to enjoy a beer, glass of milk, or whatever with you to celebrate your beating that horrible scourge. Again, it's so good to hear another person defeat cancer.

looked into a miss in my 350 Chev motor
    thinking plugs
found a broken valve spring, this is the 4th one to go on me
will replace all of them with new ones
any clues to why they have broken, maybe just a bad batch

There are a lot us in that club, mine was removed in 2005 and I've survived gastric cancer as well, they removed my stomach 4 years ago and I am still able to get some work done, just not as fast as I use to be able to do!

Spent the afternoon looking for a decent Cadillac block...Seems most of the Caddy people I have talked to in So Cal Are taking advantage the recreational marijuana trade...Either don't return calls or ask if I want main caps included with the block...WTF?

Pricing out a new set of headers for my O/T SBF engine. After 20+ years they finally got too thin to weld up. Next problem is making them "mate up" to my existing exhaust system.
They were on the car when I bought it those many years back...........no tell'n who made them.

So very glad to hear that you are cancer free. Had a couple of operations for a different kind of cancer nearly 7 years ago. Looks like the doctor got it all. So far, so good!

    G-d bless,

    Harry

Somewhere under the tumbleweed and weeds, is an underground hive of killer bees. Lots of very active bees flying about. I waited until after sundown, just stray bees returning to the hive.

    2019 10 25 Readty to spray - Low res.jpg
I found the hole in the ground (most likely a box containing a shutoff valve for the old water system) and applied a liberal amount of foaming wasp and hornet spray. Followed by 2 buckets of dirt to cover the area. I'll know in a couple days if I am successful - Tomorrow, I won't go within 200 feet of this area.

Helped a friend sell her Studebaker silver hawk to a fellow hamber and then drug a trailer out of the weeds to see if I can get it sold for her.

After having folks look under the 1956 red Purolator NASCAR air cleaner for 5 years to see if the 2 wing nuts went to 2 carbs; I made 2 air cleaners to show them. With a little help from Charlie Price and a kitchen/restaurant supply store and a some thinking outside the box they turned out OK. 88F19821-47D3-4CDB-A014-E62AB9A76E9A.jpeg A7E7E8A9-91E4-4C00-99E5-139EE43C9FE0.jpeg
