    I just chopped 3 inches out of my 31 coupe. Now i am curious which area to start at to start tacking back together. I appreciate any suggestions from someone who has done this before

    I would do the B pillars first. Then move to the A pillars. Then work the back.

    Did mine 3” as well, I started with the a pillar because it stronger, thicker gauge and it’s critical for alignment of the doors. That a pillar needs to vertical or the doors will difficult to get right. Then I worked the b pillar, then the t strip to get the rear of the top on line. I’d be the last one to say this is the best way, but it worked for me, just my 2cts.

    Looks like excelsior sport radials. Judging by the box I’d say they came from coker

    Lopped 4 inches out of mine. I started at the T strips and back window then around to the quarter windows then to the A pillars.Tack welds only , didnt take much clamping or ratchet strapping it all fell pretty much in place. 20191002_183306.jpeg

    Did you have the doors on when you started the chop ? That would have helped keeping them in alignment. That A pillar too and bottom need to be vertical and at the same angle or the doors will be hard to get right. You can also use shims under the body mounts up front compensate
    Hope that helps, how much did you take off, looks good

    My suggestion would be to put a straight edge against the inside of the A pillar after you clean up the welds. See if the top is aligned to the bottom.At the same angle. Hope that helps
    I like a 3” chop:rolleyes::).
