Trivia question - What was the first truck to use a de Dion rear suspension?

 

Got me on that one... Seen it in the Dodge Caravan and Euro cars. I can't recall seeing it under a truck. Unless you count the Mule as a truck... LOL

Several years; till the mid fifties at least, I believe. Never won a Nascar race, though.

I restored one DRV a few years ago to its factory drivetrain. Not the fastest van, top speed was 45 mph, 55 downhill, it had a 4.89 rear gearing. I just received another DRV last week and will be redoing another. Will probably give it a updated drivetrain. Enjoy the pics.
