A couple of buddies and I planned a last minute 1,800 mile journey from Fort Lauderdale to Lafayette and back for the 5th Annual Bayou Roundup. Between the three of us, a complete HAMB appropriate car was not yet roadworthy, so the trip was made on my late model Cadillac CTS. Under normal circumstances, this would have been fine. However, each of us tips the scale on the north side of 300 pounds, and over 6 feet tall, so it was a snug ride in what is normally a roomy car. Despite the comfort issues, the trip was well worth it. The Kontinentals host a great show, although it was a little smaller than I had expected. We did the cruise on Friday, hanging way back at the end of the line. The route took us through some great scenery, a nice change from the boring roads we travel daily in South Florida. The show on Saturday was smaller than expected, but the high caliber of the cars in attendance made up for that tenfold. I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story. Hopefully we will have our cars up and running for next years show.
There was and outside show as well. Most of my outside pictures are from the Friday cruise and the hotel parking lot.
