Please give me some inspiration for my 1952 Cadillac coupe. Just got this original paint/patina ‘52 coupe and for now I just want to get it running, stopping and driving. A one or two inch Static drop, and some nice wheels/tires.
    Show me what you got![IMG][IMG][IMG]

You may hop up the engine, install power pack & headers for better flow etc...
BUT, PLEASE keep the body & interior as original as possible!

It is a stunning car as it is, you really cannot improve the Cadillac design even if you were skilled experienced designer. IMHO 40's & 50's cars look the best running the original wheels. Absolutely not any alloy wheels with stupid low profile radial tires! Remember HAMB friendly style.

Yes, I will keep the body and interior as stock as possible. I’m thinking 15 inch cream powercoated wheels, bullit caps, white walls...
I found out it all ready has a 1958 365cui motor so that gives 100 pony’s extra :)

Great starting point. Mechs first then a few cosmetic "tweeks" and you got. Problem with"year only" Cads is finding missing parts at a reasonable price. That and the cost of chrome if you're heading that way. Looks like a complete specimen. Have fun.
Some pics of my '53 (for inspiration).

Stock wheels painted black, 3'' whitewall Goodrich Silvertowns, '50 Cad wheel covers, 30'' Porter steelpacks, 1 coil up front & de-arch the rear leaves. Push those dents out under the right taillight & behind the headlight, rub it out & wax it ...

here's mine. 1951 60s, original paint. no motor or trans. I have a 500 and 365 Cadillac engines. I just can't decide between the two. what would you do? 1951 cadillac 60s.jpg

"Nice" seems to be a bit of an understatement in this case. I'd call it Gorgeous.
(compare: Ann Nicole Smith was not "pretty" in her hey day, she was Gorgeous)

Love the 500 cads , I had a few of those... great motors. But for a ‘53 ish caddy I would go with the 365:)
