A great fall day to take sexy pictures of my new girlfriend. She’s a bit older than me (85 years old to be exact)....but she’s all steel and [IMG]her curves are still killer. Suicide doors with red interior....and the sexiest front end a guy has ever seen.....to chop or not to chop? That is the question that needs to be answered[IMG][IMG][IMG]

It sucks to mess with a running, driving shiny hot rod, but that thing would look bitchn chopped.

It would look like this, but shiny black.

  5. What a nice score. Now to make it stand out I'll Chop it so it blends in just like the majority of all the others out there. Reminds me of the 49-50 Merc movement. Those things Chopped are so normal they've become Boring almost to the point of Tri-5 Chevy's. Were it me I'd leave it Tall.

  9. I'm going to go to bat for your new sweetheart, leave her alone and enjoy her just the way she is, it's such a nice body I couldn't take a knife to her, but even I know they do look killer with a chop. HRP

As I like to say.....put tape on the top of the windshield glass, equal to the amount you want to chop it, and then drive it for awhile. Then you can decide.

I personally like the no chop. But, just my opinion. Do as you please, your car.

Any one can drive a un-chopped coupe. It takes a real man to cut one up.
Mine was chopped 4-1/4" 64 years ago and it "makes" the car just as hundreds or maybe even thousands of brother 34's and 33's. CHOP IT.

Hot rods are chopped, Resto rods are stock ! ;) lol I love chopped cars , but I have to admit by the time I got this one so the seating was comfortable a chop would have had me {over 6 ft} bent over Larry SUNP0078 (2).JPG SUNP0075 (2).JPG

No chop for you! Seriously that car has made it this far in that condition? I would have a hard time putting it under the knife. If it was one that was less nice I maybe could see doing it but your car, chop away!

The longer it takes you to think about it the more likely you won't chop it, that's from my experience...............................

  28. I couldn't drive an un-chopped 34 with a straight face.

There is your definitive answer right there.
Put a piece of nice dark masking tape across the windshield the width of what you want to chop it and drive it some serious miles
Chopped tops usually call for lowered seats which totally screw up the leg room if your inseam is over 27 inches. They also mean that you lean forward every time you are at a light on city streets and especially if they are two lane streets. That is just with my truck with a 4 inch chop and not a 34 with a rather silly rolling bones clone chop that you can't even do a drive through the coffee shack with because the 12 oz cup won't go though the window no matter how cool you look. Mild chop yes, hammered so it is just about useless except for parking lot posing no.
