  3. Great thread and outstanding truck. That truck is a perfect example of what I think of when anyone says mild custom. Nice work!

Thanks Chris. I agree! When I had the front end apart I went ahead and installed some '56 air deflectors so I have the option of putting a chrome '56 grill on there someday. But for now, I've been thinking of just painting it white...
Thanks for the advice, I've been lurking on here long enough to know you've got some experience with these old trucks. Ha! Can't wait to see what you do with your '56!

Thanks Nick! It's getting there. Just need time and money!

  7. Cheater, great looking truck! You do very nice work. I love the entire look, the stance, the engine. Old Fords are easier to put a V8 than a Pre1955 Chevy. Even though I am a Chevy guy, well, Chevy Engine Guy, I have a serious thing for old Ford Trucks. Even old Fords as late as 1996. My first truck was a 1966 F-100 in high school. Any pics of your old 1966?

Wow...looks great. Dont paint it...looks awesome as is. Just get someone to match the passenger fender to the rest of it. Or try it yourself...you're doing great so far..

How about a white top to go with everything else, using the body lines as your guide? Even though I love baby moons, I really Love the shoe box caps and it would continue a theme if you use the shoebox steering wheel. Seems as though this a Fun project for a bunch of Us, Thanks for sharing.

Here's an example of what mercury taillights look on your truck. They almost fit the contour of the fender. You have to make some buckets for them. 20180227_153114.jpg

Thanks Coupe. Good to know. I've seen them on a few of these trucks. I really like the look, but I'm also wanting to do something a little different. We'll see...

Tell anyone that asks that they are on upside down! Or tunnel some 51 Shoebox lights vertically (stay with the theme).
