  1. I've had a list as long as your arm of cars both younger & older than myself, but only one that was born the same year as me.

Both of us are 1950 models. HRP

Nope, I get discouraged by how dilapidated they are!

It's like looking in the mirror....

  3. Yep, just bought this one last year because it was the year I was born. I had to have a car to put my 1948 Alabama tag on!

  5. Don, that is a sweet coupe, I have grown to appreciate that body style in recent years, crying shame I wited so long to like them, now they have gotten pricey around here. HRP

  8. They may have increased in price some, but they are still more affordable than the older coupes or even a lot of the newer ones. I had to have this one after looking it over since it was almost completely rust free, something you don't often see anymore.

I've had two 61 Chevys, and my Chevy II was built the same year I was born.

Not me. But it would have to be a military vehicle.

Does one year off count? My "Woodie" is a '46, I'm a 1947.

Only one was my 52 Chevy. Our kids loved riding in it and singing the "Thunder Road" theme song. My Daughter wanted a picture with it when I decided to put the car up for sale.

Nope, most of the 1959 models are uglier than I am!

I had an OT F100 that was sold on my birthday in '71. Wish I'd never let that one go.

Nope, I was trying to buy a 51 Olds one time and almost pulled the trigger until the guy said the drivetrain doesn't come with it! There was no mention of that little fact until we had agreed on a price. What kind of asshole does that?:mad::mad:

1964 I was living in Carpinteria, California when I turned 16 and got my license there. I bought a 1948 Chevrolet Fleetmaster (which happen to be the year I was born) that was sitting on Linden Ave. with a for sale sign on it. Gave $45 for it. I drove it home and found that the charging system wasn't working. Bought a voltage regulator at Pep Boys in Carpinteria for around three bucks. Got my first lesson in polarizing a generator. Of course I had to pull the hubcaps off and immediately started removing emblems and filling holes. Sure was proud to park in the school parking lot even though it wouldn't fall out of a tree with a push.

  29. I think a Corvette, it the only 62 car I wanted but never got.

I was conceived in a 64 Galaxie 500, does that count for anything? HA!
