Is there any advantage to running 57 365 heads on a 331?

    Tuck,
Yes, the 365 heads breathe better, have slightly larger valves and ports, and centerline is close enough on valves not to require large overbore on 331.

Just got my new intake in the mail today from White Owl. I’m pretty excited so I thought I’d show off a bit. IMG_5366.JPG

Also a little excited because I got the crank out of my stuck 365. Lost 3 rods in the process. Still excited though. IMG_5371.JPG IMG_5369.JPG

The casting looks good. The only bummer is the messed up the offenhauser name on the other side and then ground part of the name. I might be able to turn it into just Offy IMG_0001.JPG

That is my plan as well. Now I just need a pair of heads among other things.

Offy contacted me here on the H.A.M.B.
and made good on the poor casting. It’s always a pleasure to deal with professional people who care about their products and their customers. I am impressed.

I bought one of the last bellhousings for a T-5, Tremec and TKO the other day from the Holley clearance area, thanks to a fellow hamber's tip. I guess now, at least I know I am running a stick for sure.

I am working out the details of my quicktime bell and am pretty sure I can set it up to work behind a 390 using a GM type Tremec, without machining the back of the Cad crank. Have an order into Wilcap for the flywheel and have ordered an AMC adapter bushing from Novak. It has a 1.8 OD and I will turn it down to 1.6 OD for the Cad . Will post my findings.

Good deal! Since I am not racing mine I got my adapter from Wilcap last month. Nice guy to work with. Ps, the adapter was not cheap!

I probably will never see track time with mine, but just in case it ever comes apart, my feet feel better.

What flywheel and starter works with the Cadillac quick time bell? I can’t seem to find specifics from them

I ordered the wilcap flywheel that they spec out for their manual trans adapter, It is 130 tooth and use's a mopar starter . I will post more info when I get it this week. If you go to the quicktime thread on here it talks more about the starters.

Yeah, don’t believe them. They (Holley) told me it took the stock starter. Nope. The Dodge pickup starter works. Lumpy has the part number.

I’ll probability run 97’s. I’m still a ways off from that. I still have to find engine parts. But I wanted to grab the intake while I could!

So a lot of you know Tony from Ross Racing, he is a fellow hamber and builds a lot of vintage engines. He just posted this on IG. He had mentioned this when I called him recently, glad to See it’s moving forward.
