History Gary Howard's Celebration of Life

After Pistons n Paint I'm thinking about heading south to Hye, Texas. Sunday November 10, they will be hosting a gathering to celebrate Gary's life. It would be a kool honor to Gary if we had a lot of kustoms attend the celebration.

I only met Gary once at his shop years ago, but I am well aware of his legacy. RIP Gary.
I have ticket #00001 for the Merc.

I saw Blake's post on Facebook when I was eating breakfast so I jumped. I wish I could come down for the service.

 

I must have been snoozing..... It would be kool to see ya there, I understand not being able to go. Hopefully you will be able to see it through videos and live feeds. Thank you for your support.

I like the look of the car.

 

When it comes to contests, raffles, the lottery, etc. I'm not very lucky. But, I decided to crack open my piggy bank and send a money order for a ticket. I would love to attend the event, but it's a long way from Denver especially with unpredictable November weather.
Win or lose, I'm proud to help out the Howard family as I'm sure they have been having a hard time since Gary's untimely passing.

The numbers you guys have from the emails are merely order numbers, NOT actual ticket numbers.

 

But it is a good indication of how many have been sold.

 

I agree, it's just not the exact number sold. If you buy multiple tickets you get one order number.

I have been asked by Brad @m.brad.lindig to draw something for the Gary Howard Celebration of Life, November 10th. This drawing is of 3 of Gary’s creations, from a Steve Coonan @roddersjournal photo.
Come celebrate the memory of our good friend and custom car king Gary Howard with a gathering of the great people he brought together, incredible live music and some of his most beautiful classic creations all out at Albert Dance Hall, a beautiful historic Texas dance hall outside of Hye, TX just west of Johnson City.
This event is also a fundraiser to benefit Gary’s loving family and will feature a live auction of some special items, and a raffle of a 1941 Mercury sedan!

someone said, the order numbers do not tell someting about the total numbers sold. my order number is #26, i hope lotta people will buy raffle tickets.
as i mentioned earlier, i never met Gary, but there's a special base of friendship here on H.A.M.B. that noone can explain exactly.
i'd like to spend bucks, help, words, tools, spares, wtf else, to people i've never met.
why.
because i listen to and write with fellas who share thoughts and feelings with me like my buddies around me.
it just feels allrighty with me and that's what counts to me.
i'm sure Gary was (and in our hearts still is) a damn fine guy.
hope we'll reach the #200 goal, not just for the winning chance, but for Garies family.
and if it's necessary, i'd buy a second ticket. it doesn't hurt, even if i just earn a mechanics content. i know it reaches the right ones.
