I know a guy that “supposedly” has a Edmunds 2x2 intake for a straight 8 Pontiac. My 50 Chieftain runs the stock straight 8 so he obviously has my attention. I am going to check it out next week... my question to you, all knowing H.A.M.B., does anyone know how to tell if it is actually for a Pontiac? I’d hate to buy it and find out its for a Packard, Buick or ______. What should I be looking for? Dimensions? Part number? Etc... I don’t have a picture yet, and won’t until im looking at it so any information I can get beforehand would be greatly appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Or bring a spare intake gasket. Edmunds did make multi-carb intakes for all of the straight 8's of the period. Edmunds for Packards seem to be the most common, closely followed by Buick pieces. Some of the Pontiac and Chrysler stuff can be quite rare and hard to find.
If I remember correctly the Pontiac had an unusual intake port arrangement. Study your runner placement. Measure what ever you can and compare .
Damn... that head is pretty much worth it’s weight in gold Thanks for the pictures, that will give me something to go off of atleast Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
