Can you guys help me with the best source(s) for upholstery fabric? In particular, I'm looking for a bright white smooth vinyl for a tuck-and-roll job. I've also read about somebody that supplies NOS original fabrics by the yard and/or reproduced original style fabric patterns, and would like to find them. Standard web searches haven't yielded the answers.
Go see your local trim shop. You will be able to see it and feel it with out waiting for them to send you samples. It will cost you less also.
Right here in Texas.... Larry Dennis Co. And J&J Supply both in Ft. Worth. I have done business with both for many years. They have Large inventories.
I got mine from Sunbelt Fabrics in Fort Worth area.....can't remember if it's in FW proper or just near it.
Thank you for the answer. This was timely as I have been spending a lot of time today looking for door panels. Glad I clicked on this thread.
There used to be an upholstery supply house in Waco. Bobby Russell Took me there in the 70's when he did my truck. The Address looks right http://www.heartoftxfoamandfabricwaco.com/
Back then there was a place on 6th St. Long gone. But what you posted is our current source. I’m not in the business but have been there and it seemed pretty well stocked. Bob did the seats in our 52 Chevy truck too.
This place has a huge selection of material and supplies and even bulk weatherstrip. H&R Sales in Phoenix saved some $$ by going there they have been there for years and supply a lot of upholstery shops.
I used J&J in FtWorth a long time ago and they had a huge inventory. I wandered around for an hour looking for something I liked.
Don't overlook boat and canvass shops either if you have any locally. They will usually have multiple catalogs of all types of material available as they do interiors for boats, canvas sails, storage covers, and damn near anything a hot rodder could want. The interior for my roadster is Sunbrella boat material. The top will be as well.
After being taken by a shady upholsterer I purchased factory style covers from Legendary Auto Interiors and installed them myself. I also bought running yardage of the vinyl to do the door panels. My color was pearl white. Matched the old factory seats perfectly and fit excellent too. https://www.legendaryautointeriors....ER","selection_num":"3","sel_criterion":"3"}]
Be forewarned they have one of the worst customer service reputations out there. Sent from my SM-G950W using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
After checking my local fabric shops and not finding what I was after, I just ordered some black Naugahyde from these guys, got free shipping too. Should be here in a couple days. DLT Upholstery
