Carolina Dragway Jackson is a small town in Aiken, South Carolina. HRP Since 1957 the small town of Jackson, SC has accompanied some of the biggest names in drag racing. The once “Jackson Dragstrip” beared the name for nearly 30 years until Carolina Dragway came to be. Now a premier NHRA sanctioned drag racing facility, the “House of Hook” will once again return to it’s roots as host to the Southeast Gassers. Our 2018 debut at Carolina was a rain drenched day with fans & racers that refused to call it quits. The entire event was covered by the Discovery Channel and later aired on a one hour special of “Moonshiners” dubbed “Full Throttle Throw Down”. In true SEGA fashion, the night and the show ended with a climax that we honestly hope will never be recreated! The “Lil Red Wagon”, Barry Lynn would end up on the long Chevy roof at the top end of the drag strip. Barry has come back with a vengeance in 2019, and is currently sitting in the 6th position in the A/G Championship points. We would like to thank all the racers and fans that put so much time and effort into promoting this event in the Aiken, SC area.T roy Lightner of “Shakin’ Bacon Racing” decided to help sponsor this event along side of Wade’s Welding & Industrial Fabrication. We certainly appreciate the loyal dedication from members who support the SEGA with their attendance, as well as those who can help support financially. Thank you Troy!! So, get ready for the largest & most competitive nostalgia drag racing series in the world! All clutch shifting 4 -speeds, wheels up, heads-up, first to the finish line, single elimination SEGA Championship Drag Racing!! The Southeast Gassers are taking Carolina Dragway back to 1967 on October 19, 2019!! Yes, we’re goin’ to Jackson!!!!
