Anybody own one of these? We called them "Tab Cards", but I don't know why cigarettes were called tabs. Unfortunately some dopey kid (OK I own up - it was me) licked the back - pre-gummed to stick in an album, so it is almost unreadable now.
From my grandfather I understood that my father built remote boats that he sailed on a lake in Golden Gate Park in the 20's. They had some kind of timers and rubber bands to control them on a course. I heard from grandpa that dads boats often beat older men at their own game. Dad went on to be a wind tunnel model maker machinist owning his own machine shop. My dad never spoke of them or his motorcycle antics when he was a teenager. After he died when I was 19 I was able to get a lot of information about him from grandpa...From what I learned...I guess I didn't fall too far from the tree.
Not exactly giving them away, are they? That $11.95/week! Must be nice to have that much left over each week for a car payment!
