The Nethercutt Car museum is only about 1-mile from a major nighttime windblown wildfire blaze in Sylmar on Thursday night. All the streets being named on the 11:00 local TV news are close by. The Museum has not been mentioned by the news people so I hope all is well.

Just drove home from work here and heard about that fire on the news. Reminded me of the bad fires around Paradise last year- Hope no one will be harmed.

I lived out there for 27 years. That was many years ago but every year about this time there were fires and the Santa Ana winds would make a mess of it. Then the rains would wash away the bare soil, then the earthquakes would shake everything up.
It can be a crazy, dangerous place to live.
I hope everyone affected gets out safely and they get it under control real soon!

Hope it’s not damaged. Planning on seeing it for the first time while at my Sisters in Van Nuys week after next.

I would hope they have fireproof buildings. The contents are priceless and irreplaceable. It is a wonderful place, I hope to go back there.

Hope everyone out there is safe. As I remember things the Nethercutt property is in an industrial area with few trees. They did suffer damage to the collection years ago when an earthquake hit. This is a "Bucket List" collection to see, FREE admission, you have to make reservations to see to see the music collection and Grand Salon showroom, that is also free

The restored train is in the back yard, hope that mountain range is unaffected. Bob
