Technical Mikes Model A leakless water pump

Just got my new pump. No instructions. Web site says completely greaseless. Is that true? Thanks...

They use sealed bearings, so there is no way to grease them.

 

Be careful. Some of the reproduction pumps have grease fittings for show. Put grease under pressure into them and you will crack the casting.

Thanks Charlie, I asked because I have seen some where the front is not greased but the rear is ‘pushed in’ not with a grease gun. This has both fittings but I think they are for show. Pump looks very well made. Be nice as mine now moves back and forth about 1/4 inch!

 

Had one on my banger for about 5 years.....don't run it much which you'd think it would leak maybe from sitting and me starting it every now and then ? It hasn't - maybe post on the banger thread right here on the HAMB......

 

how do you like it? is it worth the swap?
