Art & Inspiration Candy, Lace, Flake, Flames... wanna see WILD custom paint...

First off, the contributors to this thread are amazing. This has been quite an inspiration for me. I have always liked custom paint jobs. I thought I would try and do a panel. So I grabbed an old shelf that was getting tossed out, went to the store and bought a few cans of aerosol paint, ordered some fine line tape, and made this over the course of 2 evenings after work.

I screwed up several things. But I know what I did wrong. The other half of this shelf will turn out even better i think.

Your panel looks pretty good for a first attempt. I think I'm gonna try something similar over the winter.

 

That's a heck of a start being it's your first attempt AND with spray bombs!

I looked for other stuff to get your brain jumping, and this guy does some cool mask stuff...

 

Hard top convertible?

 

Yes, they all were.

Yeah but the removable hardtops don't look like that. It does look like a "hard" soft-type top.
@loudbang it might be vinyl, maybe even metslflake vinyl.

 

Thanks, some cool things in that video. I was going to do fish scales in my next part of this panel, but I was actually going to do them the opposite of how he painted them in the video. I think I will use his method instead
