Middle seat from a Caravan which is 40" wide.
All I did was to remove all of the trim for perfect fit into my '27 Coupe which is 44" wide.
I used a Jeep rear seat floor frame to mount to the floor with gliders.
I can"t sit flat on the floor and have to be raised about 5 inches.

Because of the way that I did the floor, I am also using bolts as adjusters for front height. <Notice the wrenches used as spacers at the front of the seat>

The pictures look like the seat over hangs at the sides but it doesn't.
And my Ole's tape measure that I still use...

Thanks @ flathead, I get the point about making an effort to get things right. Just want to make sure I have the right starting point.

Yep MIDDLE seat not the way back third seat. The middle seat is a 2 butt seat on most of the Mopar Mini vans as it lets back seat (3 butt seat) passengers get to the back without disturbing anyone. Had one in my 91 Grand Caravan but it didn't fold. The fold down thing would be great in a coupe where you could have a spot to stash things behind the seat.

Thanks @ mr Chevy, I going to get it Saturday morning, sounds like the one to get. It folds down too. Guy took it out and used the Caravan as a van and the seat was never used !

Tim, that's quite the push truck. Digger's not too shabby either.

  12. Back to seats....... Pics and info Saturday!=== Caravan/Mounting!

  13. Chrysler mini van middle seat here too. Ran it stock for years with nothing but a Mexican Blanket and notch for the 4sp. Since I took the upholstery class I swapped to a 5sp to move the shifter forward and re-upholstered it, same dimensions though.
The truck is channeled about 6" so it does not have any risers, the frame sits 2" above the floor so the springs can move and I don't get a numb butt on a road trip. I am short so headroom is not an issue but it is comical to see big guys try it on for size.

Went and got it today. Looks good once I got the mounts and headrests off. Easy mounting holes for a new mount too. Real comfy and looks brand new. And it fits:):) 43A85339-CC9A-427F-9E8B-0701BB6F6261.jpeg 64BBCAF2-9A19-4691-AF44-1D8DAA39DF21.jpeg D6D0E695-BEEA-4D59-902E-6C7E9B50295D.jpeg D5FA5833-4783-4CD9-B003-3E306EC61ADC.jpeg 456509A8-81DB-441F-AFA9-4499AC755A72.jpeg

Looks Great, Dino! I think that is a fairly late model because the seat is shaped a little different than the earlier ones. Looks pretty good just as it is.

Has anyone used or tried the Smittybuilt 3rd seat for jeeps? I am in beginning stages of building a 31 tudor sedan, no chop, just a nailhead...

Thanks@ catdad, yeah it’s from a 2014. I think it is slightly narrower than the older ones. It’s good where it sits but my head is about an inch from the top now, has to come down about an inch

@35 joe, I looked into those and they will fit but are all foam, no springs, not comfortable for this old rear end !!
