I recently decided to replace my single intake on my 48-53 flathead engine; A friend gave me a 32-48
2 -duece intake it installed nicely started idled beautiful but now Im getting a lot of pressure in my radiator where I cant even take the cap off. Im thinking maybe that There's a miss match on the intake to the block or If the gasket I used which was for a 48 -53 intake is blocking a water path?

What have you done to allow that 8ba to breath??
You have closed off the front vent in the valve galley by installing that intake.
The new gasket also could be blocking a water inlet.
I’d suggest you start over and inspect the new gasket with the intake off and see if everything is open and lines up.
I’d also suggest installing a PCV setup while the intake is removed and allow that engine to breath.

Flathead Ford intakes are dry-there are no water paths or inlets.

I have the standard distributer, removed the point and install protronics electronics. For the breather I removed the fuel pump built an breather weldment for oil fill and allowing the engine to breath see pics. I didnt see a water port when I removed the intake just fuel ports. 20190925_165321.jpeg 20190925_165328.jpeg

Your "breather" will not allow ventilation through the engine.

What is pulling air into the engine? That's what the 8BA road draft did, and what a pcv will do in it's place.

So what your saying is that a 32-48 intake wont work on a 48-53 engine block . Because when I removed that original intake that road draft went with it and the ability to use a PVC also. Unless you know another way?

    Yes it’ll work.
I have a early intake on my 8ba.
You block off the vent hole at the front of the galley, install a fitting and hose under the intake and run it to a pcv installed into your intake.
Do a search here. Lots a varied examples.

That’s correct, my mistake. There are no coolant passages under the intake. They are all under the heads. Sorry.

Sounds as though your radiator overflow is blocked.
