Hi Pat. I'll be coming out for the day. Not sure if we'll do Saturday or Sunday, but most likely Sunday. Just going as a spectator. Look forward to seeing you there my friend.
Good luck, have fun and stay safe. Nothing more exhilarating IMO than taking a car you built through its paces on the quarter mile.
Thanks ! Hoping I'll get somebody to record it for me. Sure hope so. Thanks Jim. Couldn't agree more.
First round eliminations against my good friend Tony's 55 Thunderbird. I was battling traction problems all day. I ran a 12.5 and Tony went 12.7. My 60 ft times were all over 2.0 all day. Tony got me off the line and got about two car lengths on me. At the 1000 ft mark we were dead even and I caught him in the last 300 feet, at 114 mph vs his 105 mph. I am going to need to put screws in the Hoosier's so I can drop the pressure down some more. I didn't want to go any lower than 10 lbs without that being done. All good for the first time on the track, and had a lot of fun racing with the local gassers /friends . Looking forward to next season.
