Nice work but too many gimmicks for me. Headlights remind me of welding helmets.

  3. Nice work but it looks over the top. HRP

  4. The detail was nicely done, but yes, a little too much for me. But I did stand and look at it for several minutes as there was so much to see.

Enough gadgets and gimmicks for three trucks/cars.....nice worksmanship though!......and myself I don't like the grille leaning that far back, looks kinda " ratrod'ie"!

Is that front shock cantilevered off the axle? That's kind of different. Yes, STUPID MONEY.
Edit: Actually after looking at it again, it looks like it is cantilevered off the wishbone.

I really admire the workmanship even if it's not my style.

Steam punk comes to mind. Nice, but not my thing.

Think some commercial headlights would look better. Chrome or painted body color .

Incredible Lincoln Aviator...Howard Hughes comes to mind...He Did wild Stuff Mechanically...There is some modern influence but also a lot of Coachwork Like Fit and Finish...

I often wonder about the Ascot/Gilmore Racing mid 30s lots of Money Going fast and Dreaming and Innovation...

    Thanks for sharing that @rusty1

Im not into the " my car thinks its an airplane" look. I respect the work for sure there's alot of hours and talent there.
To me the heavy fab bomber cockpit look might as well be billet and tweed. Has the same cold feel.

Too much of anything is bad.
    Shiny Rat rod nails it.

  20. Really nice fab work..

But I wouldn't call it a "HOT ROD"

Its a shiny over the top Rodent ride

  21. I really don't "get" it. Lots of detail and excellent work, but I would rather look at "TROG" entrants!

I agree that it's over the top. One of those "less is better" cases. It's just too industrial looking to be a really cool hot rod in my opinion. More like a mystery theme car, without knowing the theme.

Remember those goofy early '60's ISCA "Show Rods"? Chrome everything, white diamond tuft upholstered firewalls & running boards and tons of angel hair...I think we found the 2019 equivalent:eek:.

Another, it's not my style but damn, there sure is a boat load of talent in the build. I'd like to see some of the builder's other work.

In three years it will be looked at the same as a 90’s pastel colored street rod with door poppers.

Nice workmanship, but doesn’t fit my concept of traditional.

Women say when they get dressed up fancy for going out, they should stop when they think it’s perfect, look in the mirror, and remove a piece of jewelry. This truck didn’t look in the mirror.

Thought I wanted to make mine look like an airplane but I just got scared away from it. I do still like bomber seat though.
