Jimmy Nelson, the ventriloquist just died this week. His dog puppet was very popular in the Nestle's ads.

Actually, the Motorama Corvette was not a production car at all. It was the EX-122 prototype which evolved into a GM mule of sorts for a while and was eventually re-bodied around 1956 before being sold.

... Shortly after this photo was taken, Donald G. Trupe pictured standing next to his car, was disqualified as the winner of the Willow Crest capital day race. Donald claimed he won the race because he himself saw the checkered flag flash as he passed the finished line, however later it was proven it was just the reflection in the windshield from his shirt .... he actually had been lapped by the real winner Bernie Sinders from Vermont.
