My latest project inadvertently became a bubbletop when my wife wouldn't let me keep the skylight I dragged home from work in the yard! I can't wait to see what you do with your project.... subscribed.

Well its been awhile since I posted good old life gets in the way you all know how that goes...Anyway I was still collecting parts during that time.I started work on the frame and cut the car up to really get this project rolling on now heres a few pics..Now the fun begins. ...

It's sure been awhile waiting for the next project. Glad to see the start pics, and I'm looking forward to this.

 

I cut the body 12-1/2 inches down the center.

Well.... the engine isnt suppose to go here... but I kinda like it!!!...stay tuned!!

Building the frame is next.

 

And what, may I ask, is wrong with putting the engine at the rear of your show rod? Hmm?

In a weird bit of synchronicity, I literally just watched the video for the Hot Wheels Legends Tour featuring the 5T7, did a google search for it, came here, read Kustomizer's thread on that car, then followed his link to this thread, and then watched the one from Detroit, featuring the Spaceliner! Pity both of you didn't win, but I have to admit the competition was fierce.
I can't wait to see Kustomizer's bubble build - the 5T7 blew my mind in the Hot Wheels video.

Well I built the frame and yes your eyes dont decieve you thats a 1938 chevy dubonnet knee action front end I have plans on an air bag setup in its place .The rear is a dana 44 from a jeep and if you look closly yes the rear is upside down.....more on that later.

Friction shocks take up so little room they are a great choice.
I fabricated my own on Agent Thor.

Here are some updates for you guys..The first pic is about where the engine is going to sit.The second pic shows the 50 packard hood and where I am up to with the sides still a long ways to go...

Made the side inlets for the radiators

 

Nothing some carefully placed gold bricks won't balance out...

 

The corvair headlights are done ...Next up making the tailfins bigger
