History We went to see FiFi today!

A B-17 crash and killed 7 people riding in the aircraft yesterday (10/2/2019) at a air show in CT. I think they lost one engine and upon landing crash into a warehouse.

 

Correct.
It was '909', the B-17G operated by the Collings Foundation that does the annual Bomber Tour around the USA in company with their B-24, B-25 and P-51.
And I also took a ride in it (and the B-25) back in 2007, when I was over in Cali for what was to be the last Paso Robles Kustom show.

 

I took a ride on "Nine 0 Nine" when it was here in Groton, Ct. back in 2012. It was a wonderful experience. My brother was a crew member on B-17s and B-25s in the Pacific during WW2.

 

As of tonight 9 souls were lost in the B17 crash. According to local news in the area it crashed into the de icing station.
