Looking for the differences between 33 & 34 Ford inner fenders and fenders if there is any? Pictures would be helpful if possible.

    Thanks Dan

33 fenders had a bigger hump over the tire. Barely noticeable.

One of the year's had a round bolt hole boss on the mounting edge near the grille that was turned slightly cockeyed. It's there on the fender and matching on the inner panel. I think it's where a brace bolts up. Can't remember which year had it.

I think the other year had a through hole slightly below that location and the brace from the fender brace went through and down to the crossmember.

33 had a half bulge and the 34 full bulge, and depending on the frame number on the 33 the bolt hole boss was different as there was at least three different versions in 33.

Pictures of the different versions would really help this discussion if anyone has them.

From the Early V8 club 33-34 book:

"Front Fender Aprons -- Front fenders differed from 1933 to 1934. Generally the 1/2 bulge is 1933 and the full bulged area is 1937 with the oblong hole. Little is noticed on these so only a general statement can be made regarding timing. The 1933 lacked the cut out for the outside shock and the earliest on had one round hole for the fender support brace. These inner fenders 40-16802 and 40-16083. As many as six different styles have been identified. All fit both years and were black in 1933 and body color in 1934 unless black fenders were used."

These are like 33 and 34 radiators, they look the same but two different animals.

Apparently no one knows the difference(s) between '33 and '34, so use what you have.

These pics are self explanatory , the extra hole in the 33 is for the wiring, real 33 Front Fenders have a matching hole , 34's do not

All body styles the same. I believe there are actually 5 different types of inners. There was a big thread at the ford barn a while back with lots of pics. search your question on google with "fordbarn" at the end of the sentence
