Customs merc front

have a merc fiberglass front anyone know what signal light was made to go on this? ?

 

the original 49-50 front fenders have a bump similar that for the park light.

 

That shape does not look even close to a '49 parking light. I'm not sure what is intended to go there but it's not that. I suppose if you were using a '50 or '51 grille, or a '54 Chevy with the parking lights, it'd just get covered up, but to put a floating bar in there, I don't know what would go on that odd teardrop shape.

 

I have a set of tear drop aftermarket NOS lights. I will have to find them and get you the name and number . It could be Signal Stat brand. They came in red and clear. Wiring is sort of a cream with a black stripes spiraling in the outer sheathing.

 

That looks like a stylized imitation of the stock park light bumps in 49/50 fenders. I smoothed and filled the bumps in the 49/50 fenders I had on my 51 and a few hours of glasswork could have those smoothe and rounded if that worked better for the grill you have planned.

That's just one idea if you want to run a grill that doesn't wrap around the fenders like a 54 Chevy grill would.
