I love seeing some nicely done custom 4 doors. A merc is my dream car and I know I will never be able to afford to own a nice 2 door but the 4 doors have been within my grasp a few times. I have passed every time because they are a 4 door. NOT because I don't like 4 doors but I want a chop top and to me it is hard to make a chop top look right let alone a 4 door. If I had more cash I'd give it a go but I have a 52 Plymouth 2 door I'm planning on chopping eventually.

For sure. That is a pretty awesome build. That car looks like it should and you can barely tell it is a 4 door. I saw one that was chopped and hard topped being a 4 door and man it was cool.

I understand your 4 door thoughts. I've seen more bad 4 door chops than good. But the guys that have done it right, they end up just as kool as a 2 door. Remember what Jeff Myers says "its only metal, cut it up." Good luck with the Plymouth, they have a lot of kool potential. Keep us posted with your progress.

    Then again...

Properly mounted working spots, and I'd cruise this one for the duration. (Dig the Lincoln push buttons!)
