    Can someone explain the ramp start??? I see pics of cars using it pics of cars not using it. What's it all about??

    The hill is really steep so some of the guys with tall gears use the ramp to save their clutches. Just for an idea of how steep the start is, the ramp is almost level...

    Although that one is very cool, the one I was wondering about had burgandy steel wheels without hub caps.

    We missed this year but went last year. Plan to do it again as soon as possible. Plan ahead for lodging or a camp site. We had a truck camper but spoke with folks who had great AirB&B lodging in the area. It’s very laid back and focused on fun. Lots to see and do so set aside time to tour and enjoy the Colorado history and breathtaking scenery. Met Dan and other Hambers.
    Just a real fun time.
