Moving along... nicely. Appreciate opinions:

1) how much drop for column with tilt and 141/2" wheel?
2) who does a roll pan for rear body?
Considering bobing rear-no fuel tank and frame horns.
3) sound deadner ? Lots of stuff out there.
4) electric wiper conversion not having to cut finished header?

Is this car going to have fenders? Why the small tires on the back?

 

I would information on this also. 'Only' I would like to be able to remove the headlight switch, brass rod, steering wheel, etc with the box/column still in the car. Then un do the three frame bolts, the column tube clamp at the box and slide the box/bare column shaft 'down' out of the car. Then slide new column shaft/box back up in the reverse way. Then reassemble the headlight switch, brass rod steering wheel etc. Is there a detailed step-by-step set of instructions for doing it that way?

Clem. Your first question. No.
I want to remove the steering wheel and components, the headlight switch on the 'box', then remove the 'box' and steering shaft, (out of the column housing, if possible) 'down' out of the car.
Then slide 'new box/shaft' back up into the column housing, into the frame mount. (all with body and motor still in the car)
What I don't know, and in what order what I need help with. How to remove the horn button, headlight thumb knob, steering wheel. The headlight switch on the bottom of the steering 'box', and the brass rod.
Clem. Wow. That puller you used must weigh more than the whole steering box column combined!
Deuce Lover. 'That' style puller you show. Is it the only kind/style of puller that can remove the wheel while still in the car? Those aren't just available to borrow at every parts store.

The one I used (as shown) was with the steering box and column and wheel still in the car.
No problem whatsoever.

Being an incognito deep state street rodder ( did I just blow my cover?), I'm interested in your brake backing plates (caliper mounts). Who makes them? Edit: I found them, Superbell. Pete and Jakes catalog shows the front, but not the rear. Their online search sucks.
