Hot Rods Model A seat

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by dirt t, Sep 29, 2019.

  1. The seat in my closed cab pickup is shot. Is there a bench type seat that fits?
    Thank you for your time

I have a school bus seat that would work great.

Middle seat of a Chrysler/Dodge mini van is 42" across.

Plus you can modify the legs on those mini van seats real easy to get the height you want. Early 90's had comfortable but simple looking seats. The seat in our old 91 Grand Caravan was simple looking with no extra stuff that makes them look wrong in older rigs.

  5. Maybe it's just me but I would look at the late model pickup bucket seats with built in head rests and harnesses. Safety, not looks, would play an important part in my decision.

I’m in the middle of trying to find buckets for my coupe but there’s not enough room. The stock seat is 39”. I got a Caravan middle seat but it was too wide. Still searching....

While I see most with middle mini van seats I always thought the Dodge Neon high back buckets would work good for coupes. Not like there's a shortage of those around.

42” works for your coupe ? Does it hit the inside of the doors ? Is it set way back ? I had one but it seemed to wide to work, wondering how you made it work.
