    Finally got it out.
No damages. Slot more solid than I anticipated.

Ok I can't find anything on it...

This is the what "They're Still Out There" is all about.

If you have a history of cardiac issues...

    or are prone to hyperventilating...

do not attempt to view this picture...

Auctioneer called it a '33 but my trifive Chevy oriented eyes think its a '32...

Caddy powered looks legit period correct. Had to work so I stayed away, can't afford to haul

something like that home anyway. Hope it went for a fair price...

  8. Yeah. My dad bought his cousin's 30 ford pickup out of the barn...had been there since early 50s. Been in our family since it was new in 1930. My dad did an amateur restoration on it and when he passed I inherited it. All this happened in northern Oregon and when the snow finally went off the Rockies, I went out there with truck and trailer to get it...was stolen and I never recovered it. When I was a kid there was a retired school teacher in our neighborhood who had a '36 Chevy coupe she purchased new sitting in her garage. It was very nice to be about 25 years old and she still drove it on occasions. Everyone wanted to buy it but it wasn't for sale. One day it was sitting in my high school parking lot and I was scratching my head why. Turns out one of my classmate's father bought it and gave it to him to drive. That was in 1962 and he still has it. It has not been driven many miles and is still nice. He has been asked a hundred times (by me) if it is for sale and so far has said no.

IMG_1508.JPG My best barn find so far. My daughter in law inherited the family farm. Her dad and grandpa were car and parts hoarders. Tons on 1936 Ford cars and parts. In the corner of the pole building sat a 1965 Mustang GT, 4 speed, 289 four barrel, pony interior, posi traction....all the bells and whistles. I had to ask about the lowly mustang. She said "we will never do anything with it but I want it to stay in the family". Next thing you know. She asks me to meet her at the courthouse. She gave it to me. But it has to stay in the family. No problem. Next thing I have my eye on is the 1948 Mercury convert. in the corner. 100 percent stock except for the red paint.
