Pretty neat hot rods here today !

 

The weather wasn't as hot as predicted. Met wrench bender.
not a large number of cars. The nice lady with the little dog made numerous passes. I scored a 390 ring & pinion with a spool for my 9 inch rear. They was a 57 wagon that the owner installed a 3-71 blower with a plate on a 4 bbl intake. I thought that was neat.

 

More are coming in Sunday. I saw the video of the crash. Crazy.

 

Crash, that's not good.

 

Chuck jolliff sent video of the vw bug racing Cheryl's model a truck. The vw pulls a big wheelie and crashes down track. Driver ok.

5 hour one way for me.

 

Im only about a hour away. I was late getting there today and never seen the crash. Tomorrow should be better!

I was just shown a video chucky posted on facebox and the left front wheel has left the ground on the launch oh and the burnout was pretty kool too lol it was pretty kool flag racing today it was all heads up first one there won it was good times all around today

I’ll get some video figured out might take me a couple of days I’ll try to post some pictures after while nostalgia super stocks put on a good show today my heyday was yesterday today I wadded up several pushrods and apparently there are no mopar parts anywhere in the northeast corner of Arkansas lol

Jackson , or Randy now that I see you first name on the door! lol I give you and James And Randall a lot of BS but you guys and Brian {racer-x} and Jim {squirrell, I know I spelt it wrong}, and the rest of the old Metldowners and Drag week boys are living the dream. Triple thumbs up! And keep on doing it so I have something to cheer about in my old age! I know 64 is not old { hopefully} but I worry more about retirement than building drag cars anymore. But hopefully the Marauder will make it to Byron and Rockfalls next year to have fun. After all someone has to set slowest ET! lol Larry

 

I have had the pleasure of getting to know a lot of people who love Nostalgia drag racing since my first event in 1985. Mashie is one and there is not a nicer fellow on earth. He has recorded countless events because of his passion for the cars and the people attached to them and as we see recording at least one more. Thank you Mashie, again.

 

I wondered what I was hearing on your car, thought a plug wire was off.

 

Cool old coke pants. Probably not too many spectators complained about the stars and bars flag not being pc. Many cars during that era had things like that. Its era correct.
