    well actually i wanted to build my Chrysler....just this buick is so much further along it would be a lot easier and less expensive ...and im always busy it seems these days ...havent decided yet..good to have options...i like the 40s era cars , stay tuned...

    cool, start a build thread! I am in you neck of the woods and have some buicks too. This 1939 coupe I picked up last year as a project. Same deal was all in pieces, this was in the middle of putting things together to see what may have been missing. If you decide to sell the 40 buick coupe let me know.

    Hey hey drptop , what town you hail from...your 39 looks solid too...had a 37 years ago..a 36 3 window , chopped , channeled..steelies , ram horn exhaust..a tach , and Cheese and rice , not those tail lights , sold it many years ago..its for sale in Illiois....It could use some help now..... image.jpeg image.jpeg View attachment 4429553 image.jpeg

    Your Buick is the same body as my pontiac (different front end). They are big with lots of room and nice ride. Build it low buck and enjoy for now, later when you have time and money go ahead and do the Jim Bailey treatment. I love his car.

    hey hey Bill , yes , always wanted one of these..I have a couple of projects going. May pass it on, not sure yet..I inventoried the car and all the important stuff is there..No motor , seats..other wise seems complete..Make a great low buck street rod...Always liked the 39 Pontiac grille....What you running , drive it alot ???

    i am running a abc with a th 350 and a 79 trans am rear end (3.08). It loves to run down the road at 70 75 mph. I have over 20k miles on it in low buck form, can’t find the time to finish it right

    @choptop40 what model is that? Without seeing the front, I can't tell if it's a Roadmaster or what.

    J.A , it's a Series 50 , the bigger body. .Shared by Caddy and Olds...The knee action upper control arms are rebuilt , all new stainless brake lines , brakes done..great start for sure

    , laid on the extra hood to get a feel of the length of the nose....those white wall were new...still look good , no checking or cracks..the whitewalss are the add on type when you mount the tires..Portawalls if i remember.. IMG_0777.jpg

    while i was at the garage took a pic of my 49...freshened it up a bit recently, thats a crate 350 , 2 5/8 headers . non egr intake and a 600 Holley..car has a eaton 373 10 bolt , moser axles , and it pulls hard , chirps tire in second gear...     There still out there...Sold this about a year ago....New owner went through the whole car , got it running , new brakes ..cylinders...hoses , generator , etc...Registered and on the road...He's selling it back to me..He painted the rims red..Runs and drives great.... It's a solid car..some rust..Hoping to register it and drive it soon... image.jpeg image.jpeg
