Did the car you bought come out of the Ft Myers, Cape Coral, Fl area?

  8. I bought it from a gentlemen in Michigan. I believe he bought it from Florida.

  11. [IMG] 1938 Ford Standard Coupe. The 1938 recession hurt sales, as did Ford's continuing of the 1937 cars, including most body panels. 1938 DeLuxe models were differentiated with a heart-shaped grille, though standard models retained the 1937 look.

That is definitely a 37 front. I used to own a 38 Tudor and it had the same front as Scrap metal 48.
The 38 Deluxe front is different again.

  14. Yes it has a 37 front end for sure !!

I think that tire & rim combo works perfectly on the car. Great stance and a classic, timeless look. JMO:D

38 Deluxe rear fenders, 37 front clip, the body number should tell if it is 37 or 38.

    irrespective, nice coupe.

  25. hard to say... depends on what you like most... lots of choices out there.. my 36 3w is more a traditional car... with 16" 40 Ford wheels and blackwall Firestone Deluxe Champions and Lyons caps... Real Rodder rims or Halibrand ( Kidney Bean ) reproduction would look great... fully polished and blackwall tire ( may need to play around with sizes frt & rr) .. In the end what makes you happy and you like counts the most.. look around also and see what other have run on the these Fat Fender Fords and get ideas also.. all the best … nice ride again and congrats @hd1084

Nice. Always had a soft spot for a '37/8...well, anything really. Ford and Chevy knocked it out of the park those years for me. In all body styles. But a '37 Ford Coupe would be pretty high up on my personal "the list".

Looks great with those tires and wheels. Only thing I would change would be covers on the running boards. Welcome to the club, she's a beauty, keeper I hope !
