Hot Rods KoolShops to visit and things to see in Nashville / Memphis / Tennessee

Hi Guys
We will be vacationing in the Nashville / Memphis area September 28 to October 9th, I would like to stop in to visit some shops have some great BBQ and have a coffee with the locals and of course listen to some of the amazing local music . What are your recommendations?

Memphis and Nashville are 200 miles apart and worlds apart culturally.
Be aware of your surroundings, day and night, especially in Memphis.
Beale Street for blues and Sun Studios and Graceland for rock and roll.
Walker Radiator is next door to Sun.
Rendezvous downtown for BBQ. Corkies in the suburbs. Both have great ribs.
Peabody Hotel lobby downtown is cool art deco. Great to sit and have a drink.
Can't help with N'ville as I've only lived in Memphis. Thank God I left!
