Printing your Avatar........Is there anyone out there that knows how to do this??????? I think 99% of us "know" or recognize members by their avatar, maybe we remember a first name at best. At a show or swap meet you have to bump into at least a few HAMB members, wouldn't it be nice to print out a business card size copy of your HAMB avatar, so we could recognize each other? Bob
With Goodguys Desmoines - I send out about 2 weeks in advance a Saturday HAMB Members Meet and Greet at 1:00 pm at the Administration Building Porch. I keep bumping it every few days. This year about 15 people gathered to catch up and shoot the breeze for about 15-30 minutes and then everyone heads their own way. I don’t do every year but every now and then. That’s one way of meeting HAMB’rs.
The Maryland HAMBers did a meet and greet at the JalopyRama show in Annapolis a few years back. We made a big deal out of it because we got a lot of out of towners in the picture. The Boss and his lawyer were supposed to be in the picture but they didn't get there...……………………….by noon. Sorry for the numbers, the post this came from had everyone in the picture identified....I'm number 3 even got a couple of BANNED FROM THE HAMB in this picture
...they used to have a HAMB meet & greet @ the PileUp that included just about everyone in attendance!,...I set one up at Des Moines one year and we had a great turnout... ...just slap a piece of duct tape on your shirt that say's HAMBer " so n so".
I have a HAMB singe in board every year at Hershey, even face to face it takes a while to remember the guys avatar and the posts he has made over the years. Bob
This year at the leadsled spectacular in Salina there was supposed to be a meet and great, no one showed up at the spot. I was disappointed
Truthfully, I wouldn't make the connection. I agree with @Moriarity. I've met a lot of HAMBers either wearing a HAMB shirt or seeing someone wearing one.
A couple of HAMBers had a huge banner made for the Rodder's Journal show here in Baltimore a few years ago. it was about 5 foot by 8 foot...………..pretty hard to miss
Jalopyrama seems like a great place to meet. I met a ton there. It was really great to put a face with a name. Thinking about going back in May to meet more. Snowman
We need something like that at Bonneville too. Hard to find out when gatherings and BBQ's and such take place. Dave
