Had to take the Chevbucket to the Esquimalt car show Sept 8. Couldn't get into the T Bucket.

 

Stopped for lunch today then off to see this 32 Ford 3 window coupe under construction. Cadillac motor, blower, 4 carb manifold, quick change rearend, all the trick stuff going into this build!!

 

And today I came home and blew snow out of my driveway.

Looks like the dreaded polar vortex got you too a little bit.
My dad on Vancouver island got some freezing and a little snow too.
At least you guys aren’t in the real deep freeze like we have been.
-25 and wind chill on top of that.
And it just keeps hanging on. Coldest we’ve been this time of year for the past 10 years.

 

So... When did you say you were moving to the Island?

 

I'm not sure at this time.
Real estate seems to be going nuts out there, way beyond the scope of reality with the prices lately.
So that will definitely be a factor on a move being possible (or not).

It's for everyones safety. Vancouverites are the worst at driving in snow. They have two modes, full speed ahead and slide.

 

Early Ford V8 Club hosted a cruise Sunday to the Saanich Historical Society grounds.

 

Wednesday and Saturday nights car show started up again.

 

Lots of cars cruised in to the Sat. night show.

 

This stock 1939 Mercury came over for a visit Wednesday. Went for a bit of a cruise, runs good, lots of power for an old stock flathead and the transmission did not fall out of second gear!!

New owner of this 28 Ford showed up at the car show tonight. Built by H.A.M.B. member internet aka Richard a few years ago. New owner is really enjoying the car. Ford Y Block power.

 

New grill insert and new tailgate installed.

 

This Model A roadster followed me to the Wednesday night show.

 

Went on a bit of a car run today drove past a friends house who was having his 65th birthday tooted our horns, revved our engines, burn outs, etc. As you can see everybody practiced social distancing.

 

BBQ with some of the local hot-rodders today. Thanks to Alan for having us over!!

 

Our host Alan's 31 Ford Tudor sedan. One of the nicest Model A's around this area.

 

Bunch of us got together tonight for the last cruise in at Paul's Restaurant as the government bought it and three other hotels to house the homeless. Been in business since the early 60's. I know a lot of Deuce Days guys liked to stay there.

 

Kinda fun driving home in the rain!
