Hot Rods Model A Torque tube length help thanks!

Hey I am putting a 1940 ish rear into a model a frame and need to know how much to shorten the torque tube. I dont have a stock model A axle handy so I need the measurement from the center of the rear axle, to the outer edge of the torque tube on a stock model A axle. I dont have one here to measure, thanks.

If no one gets it to you by tonight I’ll try to crawl under and measure. You are basically wanting the full length of the tube plus the distance to the center of the axle tubes?

It's only me and the dog this weekend so Iwouldn't bet my life on the measurements, but on my 1931 this is what it looks like when I tape the end of the tape to the flange and measure to the weld on the top of the axle and the bolt on top of the housing.

 

Bob I got 57 inches on my model a roadster and measured the same way
