Does anyone know of documentation on there on the assembly of a 1932 Ford? I like to use them to make sure I am taking things apart properly on projects - and also as a reference when they go back together (along with my own pictures and notes). Thanks much! Cheers, Aaron
It doesn't meet exactly what you are asking for but you might want to consider looking at "The 1932 Ford Book" from the Early Ford V8 Club: https://shop.efv8.org/collections/ford-books/products/1932-ford-book-softbound-all-new Charlie Stephens
I've never seen an "instruction" book for '32 Fords, but the book Charlie recommended is absolutely the best for all details on a '32.
As to the book these two noted 1932 Ford Hambers suggested you won't find a more informative book about '32 Fords, at one time I thought I knew about everything there was to know, found out rather quickly that I was fooling myself. I refer to it on a regular basis, best money I ever spent on reference material. HRP
I have the 2 volume set on 32 Fords and they are indispensable when working on your deuce and looking for parts.
Would the Green Book, aka: the Chassis Parts and Accessories Catalog provide illustrations to aid in the disassembly / assembly of a '32? It can be like having a jigsaw puzzle without the picture to refer to. You may know what it's supposed to look like, but the details are missing. -Dave
I have that one. It has some good mechanical exploded diagrams, but not so much for body and trim disassembly and assembly.
^^^^^^^^Yep. X2 Plus DavidG on the Fordbarn is the go-to guy if you have a 32 question. Helped me out a lot while building my sedan.
fwiw vanpelts has some info on motors, gearboxes etc on their website that may be helpful. http://www.vanpeltsales.com/FH_web/flathead_partsdrawings_links.htm
I really should pick up a copy of those books! I found an old blue “judging guide” for 1932 Fords at a swap meet and thought it was neat, but it sure isn’t two big books like that.
There are also reprints of the original Ford Body Parts List, Service Instructions, and Service Manuals available. These are helpful when combined with the other suggested books.
