Beautiful and thoughtful work. In one of the first photos posted is one showing the front brakes. It looks like to me that the shoes are installed backwards. That is, the primary shoe with the shorter lining should be on the front. Maybe I am looking at the photo wrong, but just in case... JWL

Build is going good had to do a few modifications to the transmission plate that goes to the new xmember. Cut out and moved up about 2 inches, Slowly but surely.

It looks like you first welded the crossmenbers to the frame rails. The rivets are mostly for detail correct. Very nice build

Yes, that is correct. The cross members have either been Tig or MiG welded in the inside.

    Nice fab work and welding.
As a retired welder I have a question though.. Are you going to put a "cap"/final weld around the under-cut spot on the motor mounts where its welded to the frame? Nice 'row-of-dimes' cap around the mount would be purrrrfection IMHO!
You know how it is......being a welder I look at stuff most non-welders don't see.....not throwing stones.

Frame mounts will have a cap around once they are finished.

Ok guys just a update from my previous post. Originally I was running rear hairpins, but I just didn’t like to look of it so I removed them. After installing the xmember to the deuce frame 35-36 rear wish bones seem to be the perfect fit. Not only was little to no mods had to be done they look great and also give me that traditional look that I want to stick with. Of course I had to pie cut the rods to fit the heim joints and a bit of magic to recreate that pitted look that time has done to 80 year old parts. Thank you everyone for following this build. Not as close as we would like to be but she is coming along nicely. Chris and I are very proud of this little car!

I've seen a few set of those bones rusted out at that seam. You've just proved them usefull.

Some brackets for the rear wish bones that will be welded to the xmember transmission mount.

Finally got the rear end all back together and officially a roller again for the last time. Everything looks and fits great with the Xmember. A few final touches to frame rails and then on to the steering box. I thought building a car was supposed to be easy.
