I've always like the Sam Foose 40. Picture it with stock headlight doors and it would fit right in here.
On Foose's, yes, the mirrors should be changed too. But I can appreciate the smooth boards (done it myself) and the V'd glass is fine. There are true vintage customs with painted boards and V'd glass. The roofline has a kinda '37 Chevy shape to it.
. Grandpa in front of his ‘40. I believe this was his wedding day to grandma. My dad built a ‘40 standard coupe that was finished in ‘88. He gave it to mom for a Mother’s Day present in ‘94 or so. Dad repainted it a pastel color and tweed interior for her. I miss it’s poppy red(orange) color. They still have it although it doesn’t get used much these days. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
This is my dads old car he bought in1958. A couple of years ago passed it on to me and my wife for us to enjoy. The paint still looks good for early 70’s. Going to build a 303 rocket motor like dad had back in the day.
this is my old 39 dlx sedan. It had 12,000 actual miles on it. I put a dropped axle in it and 40 hubs so I could run chrome wheels and 51 merc wheel covers...
..................What a righteous rake there, Mark. Excellent. Bet it was hard to let that one escape.
Been an old school oval track guy since I saw my first race in 1965...this picture is from the 1951 race at Langhorne PA race...Mr. Dick Linder running the wheels off of a 1940 Ford coupe... hammer down and hanging on for dear life...this guy could wheel a hot rod for sure... MikeC
