I have a repro Thomas head that I’m going to be putting on my Model A engine but I’ve read some stuff that copper head gaskets don’t work well with the aluminum head?
What headgasket should I use? Model B or A? Graphite or Copper or something else?
    Thanks

  2. Check with who you bought it from. I think the Model B will match the combustion chamber better but without a picture it is hard to tell. Also post your question on fordbarn.com.

I use a 'Best' gasket for a B engine. Buy them from Charlie Yapp.

I have a lot of luck with model b gaskets the ones with the silicon inserts seems to let Alloy heads grow and contract a little
