  5. I suppose I ought to explain this. The phaeton you see before you is now located here in Washington State. The owner, who is a good friend of mine, plans to begin the restoration this fall. I don’t know what the overall plan is, but I do know it’s gonna be left hand drive when it’s done.

  15. Every time someone posts a pic of a big ol' Cadillac, Packard or Deusy I change my mind about how I want to paint my lowly Ford RPU. Thanks, to all who have posted them.

A friend of mine grew up in Burbank California in the mid 50's and lived next door to Ray Vega. He is now 85 years old and recalls cruising with Ray in High School. He had said that Ray's parents had a leather shop and handcrafted saddles for the movie industry (back when all the movies were westerns). He said his parents hand crafted the interior in the car. He said their was no shortage of girls that like to cruise with them in the car.

  24. Thanks for the info, that car was at my high school around 57/58 and burned my brain, I'll never get over it, tried to buy it for years from Tony the owner since 1967. He did a beautiful job restoring it with black paint, top, and upholstery but I like the Ruby Maroon with tooled interior and white top better. Ray's parents owned Casa Vega restaurant in Olvera st in L.A. now owned by Ray. JW.
