I was talking to a friend Saturday about Bart. We have lived out of Modesto area along time and were wondering. Sorry to hear. Bart was into cars and had that blue slinky job he parked near the jewelry store

Bart was entrenched in the Hotrod/Custom Cars since his high school days, he was a very close friend of Gene Winfield and Rick Lehfeldt whom were all charter members of the Century Toppers CC.

Google Bart Bartoni images and you'll see what an Icon he was around the Modesto/Graffiti Scene.
He will be missed, a real car guy at heart and everyone knew and loved Bart and his Customs.

Bart contributed a section of images and his words to Don Montgomery book # 5 entitled,
AUTHENTIC HOT RODS The Real "Good Old Days".
I enjoyed talking to him about the early custom scene in Modesto.
