    This last summers work.

This is a mock up of things.

    Some fabrication....welds still rough.

    IMG_1953.JPG

Fenders in front were narrowed 2”... rear fenders were shortened, tucked split and widened.

Body was originally a 4 door slant window. Cut in half second door removed, and back brought forward.

    Thanks for looking

Not sure about the taillights. Look like an art deco toaster but the rest is cool!

It looks awesome. Very unique. Nice to see someone doing it their way, instead of following the heard.

Wow! Going to be the only one at the show like that. I kinda dig it.
Just a thought as I was looking at it from the rear. Should the front of the box be curved like the beltline detail and match it? Just my 2 cents and thinking out loud.

  6. Ya, that works. I understand the work involved in, I'll call it "extend cab" work. Glad to see you didn't Chop it while you were at it. I think the profile is better as it is. The Bed I'll hold out till it's done. I would have done it a tick different but it's not mine. Ya, thumbs up! I like it. Different is good. I bet your wishing you had a Tig welder in the shop.

A longer bed would make it a functional pickup

  10. Cool Japper- I like it, looks like lots of thought/planning coming together there. The beds always seem to be the tough part on “conversions” and I appreciate that it isn’t just a hacked off square. Admittedly it’s small, but I’m guessing you weren’t needing it to haul lumber from the hardware store. Bigger than a T-bucket box and way better looking. A custom/fitted piece of luggage for it maybe? I work with leather (hobby) so I can envision it.

  12. I like where you're going...I might add the rear quarter reveal at the bottom to match the door.

    Thanks all,
As to what to call it...”Extended Cab” was a thought... as mentioned in the comments.

I like a leather trunk idea as well.. I also have some tailgate/trunk and cover designs in the works.

Fun to make, thanks for the suggestions and comments.
