No pictures but pleased to report I fixed the wiring in my Riviera such that the ignition switch functions correctly without any "temporary helper wiring and switch!".

Aw right, here's the car.

 

sprayed rustproofing oil into the area of frame i boxed as well as inside door panels and cab pillars. Something I been putting off 8 years.

 

Every once in a while I'll type in 1912 Model T Ford on an eBay search, never know what may pop up. Well a few days ago this photo was listed, this T has been in my garage since October 1983, the very first "Old Car" I was given a ride in, it changed my life at the age of 12. Photo arrived today, Elmer Bemis and his wife on the Glidden Tour 1950. Interesting that it is dated September 12, 1950, next Thursday that will make it 69 years old. If I polish the brass it looks just the same today. Bob

Thanks, the last one I did (a 58) I put a Camaro clip on the front, this one I wanted to keep some simplicity to it, with my health issues I didn't want to get into a big fabricating project either. I've had them stock and stock with leaves removed but have never tried the Posie super sliders, I'm glad I went that route, it really freed up the suspension movement and should drive nice.

Paperwork that came with the car, there were 5 owners of this car since 1950. I'll always call it the Bemis car since he was the owner that restored it. Don Coley had it 1956 till 1982, I've had it since 1983 that will be 36 years next month, at some time people will call it my T. Bob

 

Will do, I'll probably do a little here and there in between projects, was hoping to get the 41 back together, then finish the firewall bodywork on the Henry J but that 41 is just stacking up resistance..ha ha
I finally broke down and bought a new blower after the last two debacles with the vintage blowers that I really wanted to run, then of course the new fancy billet looking blower I ordered is on backorder till mid October !

Spent the late afternoon and evening with 100 or so guys/gals with nothing to do and the bride of 53 years last month in Costa Mesa. Yes that’s a plastic cup of Chardonnay in her hand. ( had to set down my Stella to take the photo)

 

I built my first ‭140-trillion-transistor proprietary supercomputer, and then put it in a car trunk.

 

I bought another vehicle to save having to be distracted by having to do work on my transportation while I am working on my garage. So now I have another distraction, because I have to repair the speedometer for my wife. It is a nice truck, but that is going to be another, newer distraction.
I worked on the garage today, and feel that I am making progress. The goal is to have the garage done before the rains come in late October. That means that I will be working on my Cameo this winter.
Woo hoo! I can see the progress happening.

I took delivery of my delivery!!

 

Saved a WWII Jeep from a junk crushing yard.....knda rare to still be wearing the original lights and spots below.....

 

Went to the shop this morning took the 67 350hp 327 El Camino for a shakedown run. Ran very well , pulled hard and the Muncie shifted great. Car was quiet and drove like a brand new 67 should. After that went to an Estate sale that had tons of tri 5 car parts. Scored two steering boxes , one 55-56 pu and one 57-59 pu both seem tight and not excessively worn. Also found a 55-59 trans cover and a 58-59 fan shroud. Oh yeah also a set of really clean headlight bezels ....all for $30.00 good day in my book

 

Pulled all the new top end off the "old" 430 and hauled it to Houston to go back on the 464 that was in the Stude for a very short time. Block is now cemented and wearing a girdle. Now maybe it will handle the 703 hp and 622 pounds of torque it made first go round.

 

In June I bought out the remaining parts inventory and equipment from Merle Bradley the 90 year old gentleman who owned Kansas City Speedometer. I got two test benches in the deal including this big FW Stewart bench. I pulled the 10 inch speedometer out and serviced and calibrated it right away. It took till now to find time to rewire the rest of the bench so it wouldn't burn the shop down.
New plug and switches for the motor and bench light. I picked up an 18 inch
LED light to replace the mercury vapor light, it worked out great. Now I can get it out of my garage at home and down to the shop.

yesterday, went to show in Grass Valley, CA

 

early this morning Went and removed th4e gas tank from my JD 301 A tractor. It had a lot of rust. I flushed it with a garden hose until the rust quit appearing. If it cools down this evening I will reinstall it. I will put a magnet in the tank to try and capture any future rust. I ve got a settlement bulb and a inline filter installed. And now the two older grandsons are here. So im playing with them.

 

Picked this up to add to my future estate sale. Drag car maybe?

Brought home a 49 Merc coupe I have been dealing on for a few weeks. Bucket list car for me. Will start a thread in the near future.

 

Got up , took a leisurely shower and cleaned my 34 coupe up....my son arrived promptly at 10:30 and we piled in the 34...drove across town to a cool hot rod show our local cancer hospital puts on every year...got my free PSA test and badgered my son [45 years old] into getting his checked too.
About 200 cars there.....was good to see old friends and make a few new ones.
On the way home I ran the 34 through the gears, hard. Pulled like a freight train! Don't know how impressed my kid was because he drives a 560 HP blown ZO-6...Got home in time to watch the last 60 laps on the NASCAR race.
Had dinner and picked a few ripe tomatoes and cucumbers out of the garden...snuggled with my sweetie in front of the TV......ahhhhhhhh, family, food, hot rods and great weather...a wonderful day.

 

I body worked the tank on my Ducati, and then put it into primer, then I welded up, seam sealed, and primered the outer wheel houses for my Falcon.

Now, I'm making a pizza.
