Hot Rods Does anyone have a '48-'51 Hudson taillight and a tape measure?

I'm trying to find out how tall these tail lights are. I'm pretty sure they are 48-51 Hudson.



Can somebody stick a tape measure on one??

Yes they are 48/49 taillights. Don't know measurements. I have been looking for a pair with good pot metal and lenses to change out for the Mercury style I have on the Hudson. Hard to come by in good condition. I put my thoughts on here and got some photo shopping assistance to show what it would look like.
Then a couple of days ago I saw a black Mercury in the thread on Mercs and it appears that it is using the larger Hudson light with the extra top piece but turned sideways. Thinking of changing my thoughts on this.

 

Abone ... these are 49 Hudson ... looks like 7" ... hope this helps ...
