Are the Tremec 5 Speed boxes physically the same size as the BW T5 ?

Yes, but all I have seen have the “Ford” bellhousing bolt pattern on the front, while some of the BW ones have the “Chevy” bolt pattern.

Thanks guys. I,ve got a Camaro T5 behind a blown 354 Hemi. Picked it up cheap years ago but don,t think it's going to last very long.

I've got the T-56 in my Caddy ATS-V. Shifts can be a bit "notchy" but it's a nice gearbox. Got a Camaro T5 in my '37 Chevy pickup, also a good tranny. It's mounted upright, with a s-10 tail and was rebuilt with world-class parts.

Just a note: In my OT Comet that came with a 3spd I put a Ford TL 4spd in it..Fit like a glove; could have thrown it in from across the street! I put a T5z in and I had to raise the tunnel 1-1/2" due to the trans being taller due to the integral shifter..

  9. What year Camaro? Some of them will hold up to a lot in a light car.

    Got a Mustang WC T5 in a '40 Ford coupe behind a mild 302 with a 8.8 rear from an Explorer, 3.70 ratio. With 235/75X15 tires it cruises 70 mph@2000 rpm.It ain't a race car, but it's a great cruiser.
