You're very welcome @TrailerTrashToo - thanks for attending and your comments! That is very true @Old wolf -
"Race car driver Jessi Combs, known as the 'fastest woman on four wheels,' dies while trying to beat record. In October, Combs set a new top speed of 483.2 mph in a shakedown run. On Tuesday, she was attempting to go faster in the Alvord Desert in southeast Oregon when she crashed. She was 39."

THE BEST photos as usual. I've never been there but you get the feeling of being there through these photos. The smells, the textures...all come through. Pure art. Thanks!

You're welcome and thanks @WB69 and @Hot Rods Ta Hell. It took me years to get to it but it did not disappoint. Thanks @Stan Back - although I don't know if that was the reason. It seemed the same as the last few times I saw it.

Sign was taken down and given to the SCTA so the BLM could put up a new one from what I've read.

  22. Ed Umland of Sacramento owner of "Eddie's Chop Shop" hand built streamliner ran 410 mph last year. Turned out this year because of the bad course. He is the real deal, always like to see him do well.

Both of those videos are awesome @mctim64! Do you know how fast the Hudson ran?

  24. Sorry, I do not. I just checked on the SCTA page and the results are only partially up.

Another mean looking Studebaker that in the past, according to the text on the driver's side window, has hit 335 mph before.
